2009-2010 CUP FINALS In a terricic game for the James Barnes Shiled Dynamo Globe came from 2-0 downto win by 4-3 against Academy Sports. Keith Malone put Academy ahead in the first half which
was against the run of play. Then came three goals in the last five minutes Mike
Hadfield put Dynamo Globe ahead for the first time in the match but
before the cheers had died down Neil Foster put the sides level at 3-3
then with hardly a minute remaining Man of the Match Chris Robinson
who was terrific in midfield for Dynamo Globe struck the winning goal

a sublime second half performance Two goals in the first 3 minutes of the second half virtually killed off Birkdale United Steve Stoddern and a great solo goal from Robbie Robertson were the marksmen. Man of the Match, Midfielder Tom Foster converted

Golborne Rangers took the game to Ashton Villa from

a corner was headed home by Matty Hughes of Golborne Rangers was voted the Davenport

Under 18’s Cup Final Appley Bridge beat Pennington by 3 goals to 2 in the
under 18’s Cup Final at Ashton Athletic.
Houghton Memorial Cup Final Orrell Otters of Division 3 provided a shock in the
final when they defeated Premier Division side The Man of the Match award went to Orrell’s Tom
Ashall for his tireless work throughout the game and scoring Hawkley Hall huffed and puffed but couldn’t breakdown a resolute Orrell Otters defence. In the second period, a free kick on 70 minutes was

Wilf Hickson Memorial Cup Final Pennington won the Wilf Hickson Cup Final with a 4-1 score lane against Redgate Rovers under 17’s. Pennington made a great start when Ollie Parker sent
over a free kick which was fumbled by Redgate’s However Redgate Rovers came into the game and twice struck the cross-bar and at the interval it was still 1-0. Ten minutes into the second half, Redgate levelled the
score when a good run and cross by Rob MacDonald Redgate Rovers were on top and went close with Matty Powell and McCarthy going close. However on 68 minutes, Pennington went ahead when Man
of the Match Nathan Ogden rose unchallenged On 80 minutes Pennington clinched the match when John
Martin scored from the penalty spot despite It was a consolation for Pennington after losing two
finals, the LFA Under 18’s Youth Cup and the South Lancs Counties

Division 3 Cup A.C. Amberswood Reserves won the Division 3 Cup Final after a 2-1 score line against Halsall. Both clubs seemingly were playing cagey football with
